Temple Beth El is committed to actively welcoming all into a vibrant, inclusive synagogue. We value our congregants: new long time, snowbird, recent. All are important to the vitality of Temple Beth El. We embrace the mitzvoth of ahavat ger (loving the stranger) and keruv (drawing near those who are far). Whether you have been a resident of or new to SW Florida TBE will make you feel like family. Congregants are greeted at the door upon arrival at Friday night Shabbat services and new members receive personal phone calls of welcome.
Each year we have a wonderful new member breakfast where congregants mingle with each other, the membership committee, board members, cantor, and rabbi. Connecting new members to other congregants is important in building a bond of community and friendship. We offer volunteer opportunities along with clubs in a variety of areas that further enriches congregants synagogue life. TBE also offers child and adult education. The membership committee sponsors several pre Shabbat services social events throughout the year that are both informative and fun where congregants can interact in a casual setting.
Please stop by our hospitality table designated by the number 18 at the Oneg after Friday night Shabbat services. We look forward to meeting and getting to know you! You can contact Temple Beth El at 239-433-0018.
