TBE Religious School News
Our last day of Religious School was nothing short of phenomenal! The falafel was scrumptious; the teacher appreciation and volunteer breakfast was wonderful, as was the camaraderie among our students. I would be remiss if I did not thank our unbelievable volunteers for all of their hard work and dedication: Karen Kagan, Betty Massie, Robin Dermer, Laura Waks, Gabrielle Wilhelm, Elena Spiegel, Russ and Nadine Goodman. Todah Rabah to all of you.
We are looking forward to our Confirmation Service which will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012. We will be confirming 22 of our students. We wish them much mazel and naches on this most meaningful occasion in their lives!
During the summer months, The Religious School will be busy planning new and wonderful programs as well as ordering materials. In addition, we will be reviewing and revising the curriculum, conferencing with teachers and assistants, and undoubtedly planning for another great year!
Our first scheduled day of Sunday School will be on Sunday, August 19, 2012. Our first scheduled day of Wednesday School will be onWednesday, September 22, 2012.
We will be thrilled to welcome back (B’rucheem Ha baeem) all of the students and their families as we forge ahead with another school year.
Have a happy and a safe summer!

Project E.I.G.H.T. - Another Successful Year

Temple Beth El Religious School Third Grade students and their teachers, Robin Amar and Amy Shinbaum, are celebrating. They collected the most Tzedakah this fall during Project E.I.G.H.T
Temple Beth El Religious School is all about Tikkun Olam

Temple Beth El Religious School is dedicated to helping its students and their families learn about healing the world through mitzvot and tzedakah while developing a core value about the importance of giving to others. We would like our entire community to see what is happening at the TBE Religious School.
Please join us for our first “Mitzvah Fair” on Sunday, December 12, 2010 from 9:45AM to 10:45 AM. As it will be Hannukah we will be serving sufganiyot, coffee and juice as well!
What is a Mitzvah Fair?
Throughout the first half of the year students have been guided in learning about various charities that benefit Jews both here and around the world. Each class chose a charity that had special meaning to them. They planned projects and put some of their ideas into action to raise money for their charity through mitzvot and giving tzedakah. At the Mitzvah Fair, each class will display information about the charity they have chosen to learn about and honor. There are many Jewish charities throughout the world. Each week students also put their tzedakah in a giant Chanukiyah to be given to charity at the end of the fall term.
Come in and see the great things that are going on at TBE Religious School. Mark your calendar for December 12th to attend the Mitzvah Fair.
