Oneg Honoree Program

Temple Beth El has a culture of Sacred Partnership which, among other qualities, promotes appreciation, gratitude, and saying, “Thanks.” 

Our Oneg Honoree program is a monthly “crowd fundraiser”.  Each month, an individual or individuals are recognized by email and in the announcements from the Bima, usually during the last Shabbat of the month.  We invite our congregants by email, to show their appreciation and great thanks for the work of the Honoree with a minimum donation of $18 or more.  Funds raised are dedicated to replenishing our Oneg fund for when we do not have a specific sponsor, to continue our tradition of a lite-bite at the end of Shabbat services. 

The Honorees’ reaction of this tangible show of appreciation and thanks is priceless.
