Ritual Committee
Services don’t just happen; they are carefully planned. That is what the Ritual Committee does for Temple Beth El. Just as the ancients were commanded in Numbers 3:5-13. (7) God commanded the tribe of the Levites to do the work of the Tabernacle. (8) They shall take charge of all the furnishings of the Tent Meeting.
So it is for the Ritual Committee. We take charge of the “furnishings “of the service." From making sure the lights are on in the ark, passing out prayer books, planning for the honors and setting up group candle lighting, to preparing congregational announcements, service handouts, greeting worshippers, and staying involved with the Rabbi to orchestrate the High Holiday services.
We are always are looking for volunteers to help plan one Shabbat every 6 weeks. If you are interested in joining this covenant of Levites performing ancient duties, contact Marilyn Mendelman at mmen1404@yahoo.com or by phone (614) 397-7741.
Membership Committee
The Mission of the Membership Committee is to open our arms to invite new congregants to become part of our congregational family. We are an all inclusive community. The task at hand is to let them know that we support a wide range of programs and activities for members of all ages. Everyone is welcome here.
