Temple Beth El Cares About Your Health

As COVID-19 transmission continues to affect our Temple and the larger Lee County community, our response
is guided by the CDC COVID-19 Prevention strategies that are based on Community Level of Impact.

For the most detailed information from our COVID-19 Task Force,

Temple Beth El is continuously evaluating and forming procedures based on the latest data. Due to current community metrics, we:

  • Strongly urge everyone to stay up-to-date on their COVID vaccinations.

  • Request everyone, regardless of vaccination status, to wear masks in the building. Large gatherings, such as those for the High Holy Days, will require that masks be worn.

  • Require those seated in the sanctuary and Dubin Center to maintain social distancing.

Here are the steps we have taken to protect your health:

  • Provided sufficient sanitizer stations in all areas of the building for hand hygiene.

  • Installed and maintained improved ventilation throughout our indoor spaces.

  • Ensured effective air sanitizing equipment for employees who work in an office all day.

For more information, contact our Office at 239-433-0018.

Temple Beth El Cares About Your Safety

Temple Beth El’s Safety & Security Committee works to keep you safe while in or on all buildings, facilities,
parking areas, playground areas, and the Preserve, and works with the Facilities Committee to monitor
indoor/outdoor cameras and outdoor lighting.

We maintain a strong, personal relationship with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the various Deputies that
we hire to handle safety & security for our Friday night services, any events involving 20 or more attendees, and
any Temple events held “off campus.”

We request special “area check” services from LCSO, wherein Deputies passing the Temple at any time, day or
night, are requested to enter our property to make their presence known, as a physical deterrent.
