Torah study                                                              
Saturdays at 9:00 am

Fulfill the mitzvah of studying words of Torah as we read the weekly portion, discuss what it meant in Moses’ time, how our sages have interpreted it over the years and what it means to us today. All materials are provided and no prior Torah or Hebrew knowledge is required.

Book Club                                                               
First Wednesday of the month at 2:45 pm 

Join our Book Club in a lively discussion in this monthly meeting. Volunteers take turns each month reviewing the book and leading the discussion, and books chosen by the group usually focus on Jews, Judaism and Israel. For more information please contact Carol Kaplan.

    The Collector's Apprentice by B.A.Shapiro reviewed by TBD. This is a highly acclaimed new novel recommended by the Jewish Book Council which deals with art intrigue in a world of shifting identities. Our book group will attend a lecture by the author in the spring sponsored by the Federation and the Alliance for the Arts.


Talmud and Life _______________

Explore the wisdom of the sages as we discuss these ancient texts which record the debates of our people.  Discover the relevance of these discussions to our lives today.











Lunch & Learn                                                        Third Thursday of the month at 12:00 pm Starz Restaurant

Feed your body, mind and spirit.  Join us for lunch as Rabbi Luna leads us in discussion about what it means to be a Jew today. From living in a secular society to being a mensch, you’ll discover new aspects of your Jewish identity and deepen your understanding of our Jewish tradition.  See calendar and upcoming events to RSVP.

TBE's Current Events Discussion Group meets every Thursday morning throughout the winter season at 10 am.

Topics are varied but typically focus on issues relating to American Jews, Jews  across the world and Israel.  An exchange of viewpoints and questions in an atmosphere of mutual curiosity and respect is encouraged.
